I can’t help but look back on this photo from a while ago every now and then. This was one of the rare times when everything happens perfectly. I hunt some pretty thick bush most of the time and heading out to a spot I had just put 2 dogs out to start working off the Ute and about 5 minutes in a saw this monster about 2-300m up the road. The dogs noses were going ballistic but weren’t quite ready to jump so continued to slowly drive towards him and turned the Ute so the girls could get a look at him. As soon as turned they screamed off the Ute and hit him right in the middle of the road. Betty was only about 8 months old at this point but him like a shot out of a gun and got tossed up in the air probably 5 foot high. She landed on her feet and by that time sasher was there and he went probably another 50-80M before they had him pinned. That “footage” will forever be engrained and replayed in my mind as I rarely get to see my dogs hit up like that. They’re usually KMs away or the bush is just too thick to see anything. Sometimes things just work
