“The pig was on the move, trying to break bail.”

It was a cloudy Friday night, and we were ready for a trip
that was planned for a couple of weeks now. The time had
come to load up the rig and head south. Two good mates & I
were pumped, putting a plan together while we were traveling,
discussing where to hunt first once we arrived at our destination.
We had everything ready, and within ten minutes of collaring
the dogs up, they jumped from the ute and where treed at 200
meters. The dogs had a nice little boar to start off our trip. On
the way back to the ute we were heading back along the track
when all of a sudden Diesel took off like a lightning strike. He

knew there was a pig there.
He started bailing by himself, and all I could hear was grunting
and thuds on the ground. The pig was on the move, trying to
break bail. They blew the pig, so we got back to the ute and
tried to play our cards right and drove down another track
close by. We pulled up, and both dogs ran in keen and started
barking. Shaun and I ran in and got within eyesight of the pig.
The dogs had a good bail on. We yelled out to Strom to let
Ripper out to grab hold of the boar. Once the boar was under
control, Shaun grabbed hold of the boar and flipped him. After
a few photos, we continued on and ended up with 7 pigs for
the hunt. Strom, Shaun and I were on a high for the rest of the
weekend. A weekend to remember with good mates.
